You didn't think I was going to dedicate an entire (almost) week of weddings for my best friend and not share pictures of the wedding did you? No way jose!! Last Saturday was simply the best. We couldn't have had more perfect weather, the bride was beautiful, the food was delicious, the hayride we went on was bumpy and filled with champagne, and the dance floor was a hit. Not to mention the awesome bridesmaids (not just saying that because I was in the wedding party) and groomsmen and the bumper cars that we played with the golf carts. Yeah...the golf course people weren't too thrilled with us but you know...it happens ;)

10 Things (I Didn't Get a Chance to Post Last Week) Tuesday

This weekend completely got away from me. I had all day Friday off and two great posts for you then, not to mention Saturday and Sundays posts but I never got around to them because (as you all know) a very important wedding consumed my time! Here are the top ten things I missed out on sharing the past few days (a continuation of wedding week).

1. i have serious love for tablescapes and when i saw this one i just about died. of all of them, this one takes the cake for me. the sparkle, the candles, the peonies. swooooooon!!!

2. how pretty is this table? between the lights on the beams above the table and how many guests you can seat at this table alone, i would want a dinner party every night!

3. the hearts and the burlap makes me want to do my wedding all over again with this beautiful table!

4. this is the cutest table for the artsy couple with the watercolors! i love the variations of texture and color thrown together with the black glasses!

5. the simplicity of the white with the touches of gold and black in this table are so classy. it may be an outdoor wedding but they know how to keep the class in it.

6. first of all, tell me this isn't the most fabulous and creative dress you've EVER seen?! this couple makes my heart melt. in fact, their whole wedding makes it all mushy!

7. how sweet are these two? it's those quiet moments before the huge celebration that mean the most on a wedding day!

8. a beautiful picture for a truly beautiful couple. i la-la-la-la-love the black and white!

9. this is the sweetest picture. not only are these newlyweds having their moment together on the dance floor but those two little ones are having the time of their life!

10. i just love this moment of these two. every couple should be this happy on their wedding day. so worth all the crazy planning!

Ladder-back Chair Turned Bathroom Shelf

Often times, to be a good DIY-er, you also have to have an appreciation for yard sales and flea markets. In this example, the upside down back of a wooden chair has been transformed into a bathroom shelf. Not only is it a shelf, but it also serves as a towel rack. It’s as simple as removing the chair legs and seat and mounting it upside down on the wall.

Hot Pink Bathroom Dishes

Kitchen Bowl or DIY Toilet-Top Gray Water Vessel Sink

Here is one example of a very skilled Do-It-Yourselfer.

What if I told you the above ‘vessel sink’ once had a life as a kitchen bowl? Flickr user netlawyer built a gray water hand washing station with scrap wood, the above kitchen bowl, and leftover plumbing parts.

Here’s DiY-er ‘netlawyer’ in his own words: “Using a bowl from the kitchen, wood scraps and plumbing leftovers from our various projects, I made a gray water hand washing station that sits on top of the toilet tank. Clean water runs though the spout (made from a chrome sink supply line) into the bowl and drains to fill the tank.” –(via)

The point is that netlawyer was creative and made his own vessel sink from a kitchen bowl. That is magnificent!

Make Your Own Framed Designer Bathroom Mirror with ‘Mirrorscapes’

What’s in style these days are framed bathroom mirrors. A quick perusal of your local glass and mirror company’s online store will land you an affordable mirror. Moen has released a DIY frame kit called ‘Moen’s Mirrorscapes’. This is the frame we see here in the above photo. In forty-five minutes, you can frame out your mirror with ease. All it takes is cutting the frame’s pieces to size, and snapping them in place, giving you that designer mirror look while saving you a lot of money. There are many online video tutorials on how to install the Mirrorscape product to your square or rectangular mirror. The way the frame snaps in place is quite genius in fact.

In the end, Doing-It-Yourself is a great way to save money and custom-create something that shows off your unique flare and style. And best of all, it doesn’t have to be difficult!

The Longest Book in the World

Okay, maybe the title of the post is a little exaggerated. We had yet another successful book club meeting last night! Let me just start off by saying that this book was lonnnng. Like 588 pages long. I was reluctant to start it just based off the title A Discovery of Witches (talk about judging book by its cover) but once I started it (which wasn't until the month was already half over), I could not put it down. Unfortunately I only got to page 240 but last night everyone filled me in on the rest of the book. I'm regretting not finishing it when I was supposed to but I'll definitely be soaring through it in the next week or so. There's some good parts coming up!

Sara hosted last night and she made the most incredible homemade kit kat bars. Mmm mmm...I can still taste them. We also drank an obnoxious amount of wine (pretty sure every book club does though) and found out some surprising news from two of our members (and two of my best girlfriends ever!). Next month is going to be both Sara and Jess's last month of book club. Sara announced that she will starting to travel for her job. She's going to hop from state to state to practice in her field and I seriously couldn't be more excited for her! Luckily she is only going to be roaming the country for a little over a year or so but I'm still going to miss that girl like crazy! She's my only girlfriend from high school! I guess I'll just have to take lots of vacations to visit her =)

Then there's Jess. Jess has been itching to leave WI since I've met her back at our high school job together. She's finally taking the opportunity to explore herself and moving to Boston to be with her boyfriend. She's an avid photographer and hopefully she can get her photography business up and running out there. Either way, that's just another place I can go visit (because you better believe I'll be visiting you Jessi!) that I've never seen before. You girls are making it very easy to get one of my goals checked off my list! We're going to miss them like crazy...thank goodness for Skype huh?

Anyways though, the book for this upcoming month to read is John Dies at the End by David Wong. It seems kind of appropriate for Halloween being right around the corner, don't you think? Next meeting is on October 10 at 7pm. Details to follow in the next e-mail I send out to all you lovies!

If anyone reading this who lives in the Milwaukee area would like to join a book club or if anyone knows anyone who would like to join, feel free to comment or send me an email! We would be more than happy to see some new faces at our meetings and we're pretty fun gals. We like long walks from our cars to the couch, book/kindles in one hand and wine in the other, and to eat. Wedding Week - Paper Style

This coming Saturday, my very best friend is marrying the love of her life! It feels like they just got engaged yesterday but I've been saving everything wedding on my computer for so long...it just gets me in the wedding planning mood! In honor of her getting married, I've dedicated this week as wedding week (because I've had a slight obsession over finding adorable wedding things again!). Today is dedicated to the beginning of the wedding planning with the save the dates and wedding invitations. I thought these were the absolute cutest ones ever and wish I would have seen them for my wedding! 1) I'm a huge fan of this Zoe Karssen sweatshirt. Now that it's finally cooling off, I'm all about the long sleevers. And the skull definitely adds the motorcycle dimension to it that I need to keep in my wardrobe!

2) Another Zoe Karssen sweatshirt that is seriously stunning. Caitlin wore it here. It's such a cute one to dress up or down and throw a scarf over!

3) so cute! this FREECITY sweatshirt would be one me every single weekend if i had it to run errands in!

5) i love these baseball tees! such a relaxed shirt and this coca-cola baseball tee graphics are so much fun. i'm thinking relaxed jeans with this shirt underneath a blazer. totally want to rock this some night!

These kitchens all seem to have the most incredible amount of lighting. I don't know what has been with me lately but I have been so drawn to all decor that has anything to do with a kitchen. That one area of the house has always inspired me but it has me captivated lately more than ever before. Hopefully it's here to stay and will enlighten me to open up a few cookbooks and ~~burn the house down~~ try out some new recipes for the fall. Hopefully...

I'm sure this will be the last trip post for quite a while so I spread it out into two picture posts. I had the most amazing time in California. Racking up a $600+ dinner bill in Laguna Beach between 7 of us, spending time between falling asleep and reading in the sun, sunrise car shows, getting dolled up, cruising in expensive cars, never being in a hurry, taking a yacht out on the water with expensive wine and cheese platters that melt in your mouth. I could seriously get used to this life. It just gives me more reason to get my butt into gear now so I can live the fun and easy life later. Now I just have to figure out what I want to do when I "grow up"...this is the tricky part! Happy Friday loves!

The peace, the relaxed lifestyle, the bicycles everywhere. Oh goodness take me back please! You didn't think I would go to California for five days and not give you a recap did you?

Tasty Tuesday 12 Pizzas

Every once in a while, the roommate and I will get on these kicks where we take a few hours one night and we will just cook for the week. It's gets a little intense and messy but it's usually worth it. Last night was one of those nights. We bought every kind of cheese, sauce, vegetable, and meat that we thought would work good on pizzas and away we went. Tossing fresh dough, chopping, slicing, pre-grilling, running back and forth between "work stations" and grill. It was intoxicating and exhausting but so much fun.

We literally ended up making twelve different kinds of pizzas. All personal sized so there's not eight slices per pizza but enough for us to try a little of everything. I don't even think there is a way to write the recipe since there really wasn't one.

We took the dough and rolled them in flour into small sized pies.

The following were the types we made (from what I can remember):
Pesto, chicken, red onion, mozzarella
Marinara, sausage, pepperoni, chicken, mozzarella
Marinara, tomato, spinach, provolone, mozarella, swiss
Marina, red and green pepper, white and red onion, mushroom, spinach, mozarella
Marinara, cheddar, mozzarella, provolone, swiss, parmesan
Alfredo, tomato, chicken, green pepper, swiss, provolone

You get the idea...

Who can forget the french loaf of bread cut down the center with garlic, cheese, olive oil, and butter splattered in it?! It's there...even if you can't see it very well being tucked inside the foil. I think the food was getting to my head and at this point I just didn't care about pictures anymore.

Do you ever do anything like this? I think this would be such a fun thing to do with a group of friends or even your kids for a family dinner night!

10 Things {I Love for the Home} Sunday

1. how could anyone not want this rug in their house? the perfect reminder for when i'm running out the door in a rush (which seems to happen way too often)!

2. i love the new use for these shuttered doors . talk about a creative pop to the kitchen if you have the space to put it in!

3. i don't even know if these are still in anymore but i don't care. i want to cover all my walls in chalkboard paint like this one. wouldn't it be so fun to write your ideas on the wall? you'd never loose your lists anymore!

4. fresh mozzarella, baby tomatoes, and pasta. seriously the most perfect dish and it sounds so easy too! i'm pretty sure i could this for the rest of my life. excuse me while i wipe the drool from the keyboard!

5. this artwork would look so cute on our gallery wall. wisconsin lovers and cheese all the way :)

6. this desk. oh.em.gee. this desk! is it not screaming Pinterest table? and a fun color. and on wheels. nuff said. i will have this some day in my home. but for now i sure do love to stare at it.

7-8. these zigzag bookshelves are so cute! talk about a creative way to use books as decor in the home! i love em! and who said hopscotch is only for kids? now you can play as an adult. indoors. breaking all the rules with that rug. (can you tell i've become cb2 obsessed?)

9. this is the new color for my bathroom! it's coming along quite nicely and the color makes me so much happier than the color it was before. stay tuned for a before and after bathroom post in the next couple weeks!

10. i bought this piece a month or two ago and it might sound silly but every time i leave the room now, i see the beautiful work of art by jen and i smile. she sure knows how to create beautiful designs!

Do you ever feel like you have too much stuff? Or maybe you have the perfect amount of stuff but your house is too small? I've been having this problem lately. The house I live in has very limited closet space because it was built in the 1940's. Not enough room for me at all! I've turned one of the spare bedrooms into an office/large closet/catch all room for me.

Even though I have this extra room, it's the smallest one in the house (with slanted ceilings which makes it even more difficult to work with!) so I am constantly trying to find creative ways to organize. I don't want it to just be a room with an overwhelming amount of clothes, shoes, etc. but a room that I am happy being in. I found some of these pictures online that are super fun and creative and I want to try incorporating them into my area!

Do You BAGGU?

I'm a green bag kinda gal. I have a million and (try) to take them with me everywhere I go so I can help save the earth one less plastic bag at a time. So you can only imagine how happy I was to discover BAGGU! I've had my two bags for a little less than a year and I love them but seriously how could you not?! They come in every color and type that you could possibly want! And this fall they just came out with the gorgeous suede bags. It's love! Especially the blue suede. So pretty and definitely reminds me of my wedding. Between the large bags, small bags, backpacks, bags with handles and straps, and i-pad cases (oh yes you read that right), this is seriously the best bag ever! Are You a Circle or a Square?

In the midst of redoing my half bathroom in my house, I've had to try to figure out how I want this little area to look. I knew I wanted a bright pop of color but I didn't want it to be too overwhelming so I accented it with white. But the real quest lately has been for the vanity. In the full bathroom we have a really cool one from IKEA that is square and we are constantly getting compliments on it so I know that's one like that would be a safe bet but I've always like what the round sinks look like. Ahh...decisions decisions. I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a vanity when I know we aren't going to be in this house for forever.

Now the big question...Do you like the fabulous circle sinks?

Or the cool square sinks?
